One of the difficulties of designing a garden is imagining the final result. John has the vision, skill and enthusiasm to inspire even the most timid gardener. I would highly recommend John who can advise and execute new ideas with imagination and flair.

The customer is a retired fireman!

Patio has been replaced, extended and curved to create a softer feeling with a timber plant support to provide a screening effect
The brief was to remove the shrubs and to create a footpath along the boundary to enable routine maintenance to the hedge. A large timber raised bed was also required in the corner to provide a focal point to the garden. The client will choose and plant low growing shrubs for this feature.
Thanks to John and Stuart for a job well done. Just what we imagined our garden revamp would look like. Competitively priced with a professional and enthusiastic approach.
Mrs B.C. Potterne Nov 09.
A small wildlife pond and bog garden was created to form a focal point in the centre of a large lawn. The second shot shows the same scene at night with the installed lighting providing dramatic effects
The requirement was to create a low maintenance area and to prevent passing traffic damaging the profile.
A low maintenance garden with raised beds and a feature lawn to create shape and interest
A cedar deck with integral cedar seating on top of a steep bank
A contemporary design with a hardwood deck with integral L shaped timber walling incorporating hardwood top and hardwood cantilever seating. The deck is linked to the house by a limestone patio and path to the rear gate and finished with black granite cobblestone setts to the edges and step.
The brief was to remove an existing path, extend the patio area using new and saved slabs from the path, and to provide a screen to give dappled shade to the patio in the early evening. The solution chosen was to create 2 large pillars of timbers with an open framework. to enable climbers to be planted inside the pillars( a much more natural support than the traditional method of securing the climber to the outside of the post) It also provides greater strength and rigidity compared to a single post. Asymetric cross rails attached to double rails complete the structure.
The clients commented- John and Stuart are an expert and conscientious team who are happy to accomadate other ideas and suggestions into their overall plan. They work quickly and cleanly and have achieved a result with which we are delighted. We look forward to relaxing in our new garden area. Mr and Mrs L - Holt
